Karine Tuil (born May 3, 1972 in Paris ) is a French writer .

Life

Karine Tuil was born as the daughter of Tunisian Jews in Paris and lives there today with her husband and three children. She studied communication and information sciences as well as law at the University of Panthéon-Assas . She has published ten novels whose characters deal with social, political, legal and ethical issues.

Her first appearance in the literature business was when she won a short story competition. She made her debut novel in 2000 with Pour le pire . With her seventh novel La Domination , she received nominations for prestigious literary prizes such as the Prix ​​Goncourt des lycéens and Prix ​​de Flore . Her novels have so far been translated into Italian, English and German. Her tenth novel, L'Insouciance , was published in August 2016 . For Les Choses humaines , Tuil was awarded the Prix ​​Interallié in 2019 .
