Karl-Christian Heuser

Karl-Christian Heuser (* 1929 in Barmen ; † 2018 in Mainz ) was a German architect and author.

Life

1956 to 1961 Heuser completed an architecture degree at the TH Braunschweig ; In addition, he worked in the architecture office of Prof. Kraemer in 1957 and in 1961 in the architecture office of Prof. Henn.

In 1964 he was an assistant at the TH Braunschweig and headed the Kiel office of the working group Geber und Risse, Müller-Rehm (building for the navy in Eckernförde ). In 1967 he was project manager for overall planning of universities and hospitals for the Neue Heimat group.

On March 1, 1970, Heuser opened his own office with partners and worked at various teaching institutes.

From September 1st 1972 he was a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Rhineland-Palatinate , Department Mainz I, specializing in architecture. On January 4, 1974 he was appointed professor at the FH; his retirement took place in February 1994.
