Karl-Hans Rothaug

Karl-Hans Rothaug (born April 11, 1951 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German lawyer .

Career

From 1969 Rothaug studied law at the University of Marburg. After the first state examination in law in 1974, he began his preparatory service in the district court district of Fulda. On July 11, 1977 he received his doctorate on the subject of the leadership of the President of the Bundestag .

From February 1, 1978 to May 31, 1978 he worked as a municipal assistant in the legal office of the city of Hanover. On June 1, 1978, he was appointed judge on probation at the Administrative Court of Kassel and on February 1, 1981 appointed judge for life. From February 1, 1986 to January 31, 1987, he was seconded to the Hessian Administrative Court in Kassel. There he was appointed judge on August 1, 1987, presiding judge on June 1, 2004, vice-president in November 2005 and president in December 2010.
