Karl-Heinz Erdmann

Karl-Heinz Erdmann (born April 8, 1956 in Bonn ) is a German geographer, professor and employee of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN) and lecturer at various universities.

Erdmann studied geography, Protestant theology, education and soil science. Today he is head of the “Socio-economic and legal foundations of nature conservation” department at the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN) in Bonn. In addition, he teaches a. as a lecturer at the University of Vechta and is a professor at the University of Bonn .

Erdmann's areas of work are nature conservation policy , sustainability, custom and regional identity and regional crises and conflicts.

He is chairman of the Society for Man and Environment (GMU) and spokesman for the Geography and Nature Conservation Committee within the German Society for Geography .
