Karl-Heinz Lesnau

Karl-Heinz Lesnau (born May 20, 1935 in Halle ; † August 13, 1996 in Berlin ) was a Berlin politician ( CDU ).

Life

After primary school and high school, Lesnau successfully passed the Abitur in 1951. He then began studying law at the Free University of Berlin , which he broke off without a degree. During his studies he was active in the Corps Cheruscia Berlin and later also joined the Corps Irminsul in Hamburg, to which he belonged until his death. After completing his studies, he trained as a customs inspector at the Federal Tax Administration (graduation as a graduate in administration, FH). In 1965 he took the career test. In 1968 he moved to the Zehlendorf District Office, where Lesnau was head of Office III of the Social Affairs Dept. (Oberamtsrat). Lesnau was married and had two children.

Lesnau had been a member of the CDU since 1969. In 1972 he was elected deputy chairman and in 1981 chairman of the local association “Pallas” in Berlin-Schöneberg . He was also a member of the Schöneberg district board and a member of the CDA . From 1971 to 1975 he was citizen's deputy and from 1975 to 1983 district councilor in Schöneberg. On April 29, 1983, he succeeded in becoming a member of the Berlin House of Representatives . There he remained a member of parliament (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th electoral terms) until his death in 1996.
