Karl-Heinz Schoenfeld (* 1928 in Oranienburg ) is a German cartoonist.

Life

Karl-Heinz Schoenfeld was born in Oranienburg in 1928 . After graduating from high school, he trained at Zeiss Ikon in Berlin. After the end of the war, studied painting at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin (today UdK) under Carl Hofer and Max Pechstein. Then 4 semesters at the Institute for Press Drawing.

First spurs with drawings for books for children and young people. Short interlude - 1947 - at the "Junge Welt", East Berlin.

Further stations: BZ and Berliner Morgenpost - Ullstein Verlag Berlin, the American Neue Zeitung, Berlin, Tagesspiegel, Berlin, Basler Nationalzeitung, Basel, Wiener Forum, Vienna.

1961 to 1974 under Hagen and Boenisch regular draftsman for BILD Hamburg. 1975 to 2009 in-house cartoonist for the Hamburger Abendblatt. 1980 to 1987 NDR satirical program "schlussstrich ", 1994 to the end of 2001 DPA subsidiary News Aktuell, Hamburg .

Karl-Heinz Schoenfeld is married, now lives and works in Potsdam.
