Karl-Heinz Wange

Karl-Heinz Wange (born April 1, 1946 in Paderborn ) is a German industrial engineer and former member of the Bundestag.

Life

After finishing secondary school, Wange completed an apprenticeship as a machine fitter in Paderborn from 1962 to 1965. He then did his basic military service at the Augustdorf site from 1966 to 1967 and then began studying mechanical engineering in Düren , which he broke off in 1968. He switched to Benteler Werke AG , where he worked as a designer until 1970. Then he began studying industrial engineering as a working student at the HWF Cologne (graduated in 1972). After that, Wange worked as an industrial engineer at Benteler Werke AG until 1973. He then moved to P. Fortmeier GmbH & Co KG, where he worked until 1989, from 1981 onwards as a safety engineer. This was followed by the move to KaWe Elektro GmbH & Co KG in Salzkotten , where Wange was a division manager until 1993. Wange then worked as managing director and authorized signatory of the Technologie group in Salzkotten until 2004, until he became a partner in Salzkottener Flexo-Print GmbH in 2005. After being renamed several times, Wange has been a partner in Salzkottener Wendisch und Wange GbR since 2014.

Wange has been a member of the CDU since 1984. After various municipal party functions, he was mayor of the city of Lichtenau / Westf. From 2004 to 2009 . and chairman of the supervisory board of Stadtwerke Lichtenau GmbH. Since 2009 Wange has been the district chairman of the CDU in the Paderborn district association. On July 6, 2016, Wange moved up to the 18th Bundestag for the resigned CDU member Steffen Kampeter . He is no longer a member of the 19th Bundestag .
