Karl-Hermann Capelle

Karl-Hermann Willi Capelle (born September 28, 1901 in Hamburg ; † July 4, 1982 in Großhansdorf ) was a German legal scholar.

Life

Capelle was the son of the senior teacher Willy Capelle and his wife Agnes Margarethe geb. Mansholt from Ditzum in East Frisia. From 1918 he studied at the University of Hamburg. After receiving his doctorate in 1924 ( the letter of credit business ) in Hamburg and his habilitation ( the law of the travel charter contract ) in 1937, he taught there from 1937 to 1941 as a private lecturer in civil law, commercial and shipping law, in 1951 as an honorary professor for civil law and commercial law and in 1969 as Professor (§ 73 UniG) for civil law and commercial law. From 1957 to 1969 he was head of the Academy for Community Economy / for Economics and Politics.
