Karl-Michael Krummacher (born June 8, 1948 in Heidelberg ) is a German violist .

He comes from the traditional artist and scholarly family Krummacher . After attending the Kurfürst-Friedrich-Gymnasium in Heidelberg, Krummacher studied at the Freiburg Music University and has received various awards for his virtuosity as a viola player. He is a member of the WDR Radio Symphony Orchestra Cologne.

Street music sticker

In the seventies and eighties Krummacher was also incognito as a street musician in numerous Central European countries with the violin . That is why he has been given the literary pseudonym Florian the violinist . His activities under the motto "Street music - yes please", highlighted with a blue violin sticker, contributed to this. Because of the quality of his violin playing as well as the harlekinesque character of his performances, he has been referred to in contemporary literature as the prototype of the highly cultivated street musician.
