Karl Anton Bruck (* 1839 ; † 1880 ) was a German printer who worked in Japan .
Life
Karl Anton Bruck was a German printer who was commissioned to print the so-called Kaizo-shihei notes or Jingu Kogo notes from 1881 . These banknotes were the first paper bills in Japan to be printed with human images.
The State Printing House of Japan dedicated a tomb to Bruck in Aoyama Cemetery in Tokyo .
