Simon Van Booy

Simon Van Booy (* 1975) is a British writer and essayist.

Life

Simon Van Booy was born in London and grew up in Wales. He lived in Kentucky, Paris and Athens, among others. He currently resides in New York with his wife and daughter.

Van Booy writes novels, short stories and philosophy books. His essays and articles appear in the newspapers The New York Times , The Daily Telegraph , The Guardian , The Mail and The Times , among others . He also works for radio and the stage. In 2011 he wrote his first script. In addition to his writing activities, Van Booy teaches at the School of Visual Arts in New York and is involved in the Rutgers Early College Humanities Program. In 2013 he founded the organization Writers for Children , which promotes writing projects by children.
