Karl Franck-Oberaspach

Karl Franck-Oberaspach (actually Karl Franck , * 1872 in Oberaspach , Württemberg ; † in the 20th century) was a German art historian .

Karl Franck-Oberaspach initially studied architecture from 1890 to 1896 at the Technical University of Stuttgart . He then studied art history and classical archeology at the University of Strasbourg with Georg Dehio and Adolf Michaelis . Here he received his doctorate in 1898. Until 1902 he was assistant to the provincial curator of the Rhineland Paul Clemen in Bonn. In 1902 he completed his habilitation at the Technical University of Stuttgart, where he then taught as a private lecturer; he also taught art history at the arts and crafts school . In Stuttgart he was also the secretary of the Württemberg Arts and Crafts Association.
