Karl Konrad Polheim

Karl Konrad Polheim (born September 23, 1927 in Graz ; † March 16, 2004 ) was an Austrian German studies scholar .

Life

The son of Karl and Irmgard (von Vogtberg) Polheim received his doctorate in philosophy at the University of Graz in 1951 . From 1952 to 1964 he was a high school professor at the Fürstenfeld high school. After completing his habilitation in Graz in 1964, he became a lecturer at the University of Graz (1964–1965) and a lecturer at the University of Cologne (1965–1967). Since 1967 he has taught as a professor for German language and literature at the University of Bonn .
