Karl Levi was a German football player, official and athlete.

Life

In 1899 some men separated from the Cannstatter football club and founded the FC Stuttgarter Cickers , including Karl Levi and his brother Eduard. As a founding member, Karl Levi was also part of the first board of the association and served as the second chairman of the Cickers.

In the first game in the club's history, which took place on October 8, 1899 on the Stöckach-Platz against FC Stuttgart 1894, Levi was used. The game ended 11-0 for the Cickers. After the striker had played his last game for the Cickers on May 26, 1901 in the 3-1 defeat at Frankonia Karlsruhe, he emigrated to the USA .

Karl Levi was also a track and field athlete and ran at a sports festival in Stöckach in 1900 over 100 meters in a German record time of 11.0 seconds. With the 4 x 100 meter relay, in which Richard Haußmann was part of the team, he became South German Champion.
