Karl Müller (2010)

Karl Müller (born November 29, 1952 in Roggwil TG ) is a Swiss entrepreneur . He is the inventor of Masai Barefoot Technology and the MBT shoes and kyBoots made from it.

Müller was born as the son of the Swiss mechanical engineer Karl Müller in Roggwil and attended the Trogen Cantonal School . In 1997, Müller developed the MBT shoe, which has sold over 10 million times so far. The MBT is the first functional shoe in this form worldwide and is now available in 20 countries.

Due to insurmountable differences with his business partners who see MBT as a lifestyle shoe brand, Müller parted ways with MBT in September 2006. He sold his company shares and founded kybun AG that same year.

KM Foundation

Müller is committed to social projects with his family foundation "KM Foundation". The KM Foundation supports disadvantaged people all over the world and was born out of the Christian conviction to help the neighbor in need. Between 10 and 20 percent of the annual profits from his companies go to the KM Foundation, which runs 40 projects worldwide.

Private life

Müller is married to the Korean Jung-Suk Goh. The couple has four of their own and three foster children.
