Karl Philipp Lombard
Karl Philipp Lombard (* 1663 in Marburg ; † date and place unknown) was the personal physician of the Duke of Saxony and a member of the “ Leopoldina ” academy of scholars .
Karl Philipp Lombard was the son of Carl Lombard from Rimini in Italy, who worked in Marburg as a professor of physics and Italian. Karl Philipp Lombard studied medicine at the University of Marburg. He was the personal physician of the Count of Solms-Braunfels, then the highest Hessian military physician and finally the personal physician of the Duke of Saxony. Its effect data are documented for the year 1686.
On June 17, 1695, Karl Philipp Lombard (according to the list of members of the Leopoldina, the admission took place in 1694) with the surname PHILETES I was accepted as a member ( matriculation no. 214 ) in the Leopoldina .
