Karl Schuh

Karl Schuh (born February 11, 1876 in Hildesheim , † December 15, 1960 in Duisburg-Meiderich ) was a German ironworker and manager of the German steel industry.

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Göttingen, Karl Schuh studied metallurgy at the Clausthal mining academy . In 1899 he became a member of the Corps Hercynia Clausthal . After completing his studies with a degree in metallurgy, he joined the Thyssen Group and became operations manager at the Meiderich metallurgical plant. He became a board member of the AG for Hüttenbetrieb in the Thyssen Group in Duisburg-Meiderich and, after founding the United Stahlwerke AG, was a member of the board of the Vereinigte Stahlwerke and the smelter's director in Meiderich until he retired.
