Karl Victor Plagge

Karl Victor Plagge (born January 16, 1885 in Cologne , † November 13, 1926 in Potsdam ) was a German comedian and actor .

Life

He became a newspaper editor at the age of 18 and served as a driver for four years during the First World War. After the end of the war he switched to film. Plagge, who had already been tried out as a humorist at the Cologne Carnival , became known as Karl in a comedy film series in 1919.

Very soon, however, he had to limit himself to a few small roles as a supporting actor. Among other things, he played boys and students, but also councilors. In addition, Plagge, who died early, wrote couplets and wrote sporting goods for newspapers.
