The seven-act film was 2605 to 2621 meters long, which corresponds to a playing time of about 96 minutes. The film censorship of September 23, 1925 imposed a youth ban, the premiere took place on October 14, 1925 in the Ufa-Theater on Nollendorfplatz in Berlin .
Gustav A. Knauer was responsible for the film construction, the still photos were taken by Rudolf Krabbe.

Eugen Klöpfer played an internalized, soft Götz, his wife was Lucie Höflich, Paul Hartmann gave the Weißlingen, Gertrud Welcker the Countess Adelheid. "
