Oleksij Petrenko ( Ukrainian Олексій Петренко , also English Oleksiy Petrenko ; born March 28, 1992 ) is a Ukrainian biathlete .

Oleksij Petrenko had his first major international appearance at the Junior World Championships 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě , where he was 77th of the individual and fifth with the relay. A little later he also took part in the junior competitions of the European Championships 2011 in Ridnaun and was 40th in the individual. In the further course of the year he also started in the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě, where he was 28th of the sprint, but did not finish the pursuit race as a lapped runner. In 2012 Petrenko only took part in the European Championships in Osrblie , where he was 16th in the individual, 21st in the sprint and 24th in the pursuit. The year 2013 brought another start at three major events. He finished the Junior World Championships 2013 in Obertilliach in 69th place in the individual and fifth in the sprint, at the junior races of the European Championships 2013 in Bansko he was lapped 37th in the individual, 43rd in the sprint and in the pursuit race.

As part of the Summer Biathlon World Championships in Haanja , Petrenko started for the first time in competitions in the men's area. In the sprint he was 15th, in the pursuit race he improved to tenth. In the mixed relay race, in which the Ukrainian relay won the title, it was not used.
