Fritz Greiner

Fritz Greiner (born January 1, 1879 in Vienna , † November 1933 in Munich ) was an Austrian actor .

Life

Greiner began his acting career at various farm theaters and last worked at the Schliersee farm theater throughout the First World War . In 1918 he came to Munich, where he was hired by the Münchner Lichtspielkunst film company .

In the 1920s he was a busy supporting and sometimes leading actor. He always embodied powerful, sometimes demonic, sometimes heroic characters. His most important roles were the title characters of Wallenstein and Andreas Hofer in the productions of the same name in 1924/25 and 1929.
