action

Harry Piel breaks down his car. As a stowaway, he boarded the next train, a night express. A gang is up to mischief there. She stole an important document from a mine owner who was traveling with her, which Harry stole from her in order to later return it to the owner for a considerable sum of money.

But before that happens, Harry falls into the clutches of a noble lady who wants to carry out a plan of revenge. Their action quickly creates the impression that Harry is a thief. With another young lady, however, the jack-of-all-trades Piel can play out all his bitter charm as a male protector.

criticism

Paimann's film lists summed up: “The subject is real Harry Piel again ;: It starts out very promisingly, ends with a great hunt and gives space to various things that run into one another. The whole thing is of seldom tension, staged furioso at the necessary tempo and well played, with many cheerful interludes. The presentation is clean with the exception of two short scenes, the photography in the night shots at a remarkable height. "
