action

Harry Peters is a dog breeder who loves his animals more than anything. In order to be able to earn money with his animals, he tries to find a job with a security company, but the boss does not show much interest. Harry's chance comes at the moment when the wedding of the daughter of a wealthy manufacturer is about to take place. The security company is given the task of securing the valuable wedding gifts, but above all a precious tiara, from any thieves. Harry would like to take part in this assignment, but he is not allowed to. Since Peters wants to show what he can do, he participates with his dogs on his own.

Harry suspects that something is wrong when he recognizes the housekeeper of the rich manufacturer: he once had a memorable and strange encounter with her when the stranger was attacked in front of her own villa after an adventure with Harry. Harry also recognizes a person from earlier in the steward who, in his opinion, has something wrong with it. Harry's dog "Greif" turns out to be his best friend, as the title suggests, and together with him he can fend off the crook's raid. At the end Harry gets a reward, the contract with the security company and the lovely Helga Schott, who fell in love with him.

Reviews

The Österreichische Film-Zeitung wrote: “The film is new in that this time Harry Piel is less captivating the viewer's attention with particularly breakneck sensation lines - he is more an artist in training his dogs, but as good and personable as in this role Harry Piel hasn't been for a long time.
