Vera Schmiterlöw (born July 19, 1904 in Varberg , † September 9, 1987 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish actress .

Life

The officer's daughter went to her school years a drama school and received at the beginning of the 1920s an engagement at Dramaten . At the same time her film career began. Already in her second film Thomas Graals myndling by director Gustaf Molander she took on the female lead.

In 1926 she was brought to Germany, where she appeared in several silent films. In 1930 she returned to Sweden, where she was largely limited to her stage career. She is the half-sister of the artist Bertram Schmiterlöw .
