action

Captain Hansen married a fiery Spaniard named Dolores. Soon the couple will become parents of one child. But Hansen's wife does not remain loyal to him and one day runs off with her compatriot, the equally hot-blooded torero Quasto. The child took Dolores with her. One day when Hansen learns that Dolores is believed to have died, he closes this chapter and remarries.

Hansen's second wife is called Claro. The fur seal travels with her on his ship to Greenland . As luck would have it, Hansen meets Dolores there again, but she dies a little later in an igloo . There is a fight with the dishonorable Quasto, who is defeated by Captain Hansen. Meanwhile, Claro is able to save Hansen's child from polar bears, and the small family eventually returns to civilization.

Production notes

Captain Hansen's Adventure , often referred to as The Adventure of Captain Hansen , was made in spring / mid-1917 in the Eiko-Film-Atelier in Berlin-Marienfelde . The outdoor shots were shot in Rüdersdorf near Berlin . The film was censored in August 1917 and premiered on December 6, 1917 as part of a press screening. The strip was five acts long and a good 1,671 meters long.

This time, Piel used polar bears as a dramatic animal act instead of his favorite big cats.

criticism
