Lu Synd

Lu Synd (born June 15, 1886 in Konstanz , † May 5, 1978 in Berlin ; born Pauline Müller ) was a German actress and film producer .

Life

Pauline was the daughter of the factory owner and American citizen Otto Müller (1846–1913), who moved with the family from Konstanz to Godesberg a year after her birth , where he took over or founded a quilt and flag manufacture that also made sets for theaters. She received ballet training and performed as a dancer in London, among other places . Until their divorce in 1912, Müller was married to an entrepreneur from Elberfeld . Since 1914 she lived in Berlin, where Richard Eichberg discovered her for the film.

From 1916 to 1919 she was a big screen star under her stage name "Lu Synd". She also co-produced several films with her Lu Synd film. She stayed in Milan from 1919 to 1921 and then largely fell into oblivion. She played theater and came back to brief film appearances in the early 1940s. By 1919, Lu Synd was married to the actor Aruth Wartan .
