Rudolf Sieber

Rudolf Emilian Sieber (born February 20, 1897 in Aussig , Bohemia , Austria-Hungary ; † June 24, 1976 in Sylmar , a district in northern Los Angeles , California , and known for its olive groves), was an American film producer .

Since 1921 he worked as a manager , including 1,927 for the silent film called Luther - A film of the German Reformation . He later wrote the script for the very popular 1931 film Bad Girl with Edwin J. Burke .

At the end of 1922 he met the then unknown actress Marlene Dietrich , whom he married on May 17, 1923 in Berlin. With her he had a daughter, Maria Riva (actually Maria Elisabeth Sieber, born December 13, 1924 in Berlin). Marlene Dietrich and Rudolf Sieber separated in the mid-1930s, but remained married until Rudolf Sieber's death.

From 1953 Rudolf Sieber lived with his girlfriend Tamara Matul on a poultry farm in the San Fernando Valley , where he ran a successful poultry farm and sold eggs.

Rudolf Sieber died on June 24, 1976 of prostate cancer. He was buried in Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.
