Karl Johann Waitzmann (around 1714 in Graz , † around 1795 in Kaaden ) was an Austrian sculptor who was active in northern Bohemia .

Little is known of the life of Karl Waitzmann. In 1738 he applied for citizenship in Kaaden for himself and his son. In his second marriage he married Rosalia, b. Plath, and in 1748 bought a house in Wassergasse, now ul. Čechova No. 145. He died at the age of 81, his son Anton continued the workshop.

  • Main altar and side altars of the former Church of the Assumption (Nanebevzetí Panny Marie) with the statues of St. Wenceslas, St. Vitus, St. Adalbert and St. John of Nepomuk in Svatobor (Zwetbau), OT of Doupovské Hradiště (1767). The church was destroyed in 1966, the statues are now in the cross church of Karlovy Vary fishermen (Kostel Povýšení sv. Kříže, Karlovy Vary-Rybáře).
  • Sculptures of St. Francis (Pater Seraphicus) and of Allegories of the Seven Virtues (1770) at the Church of the Assumption of Mary in Most , originally in the Minorite Monastery on the II. Square in Alt-Brüx (picture)
