Karl Wegerer

Karl Wegerer (born September 20, 1897 in Matzendorf ; † December 3, 1965 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer . Wegerer was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1949 to 1954 .

Wegerer attended elementary school and continued his education after graduating from elementary school in the agricultural school in Tulln on the Danube . After graduating from the agricultural school, he took up the profession of farmer and subsequently worked as a farmer in Matzendorf. Wegerer was also involved in politics early on and was elected to the local council in 1921. He then held the office of mayor in his home municipality from 1929 to 1938, and after the end of World War II he was again a local councilor from 1945. Between 1950 and 1960 he held the office of mayor again, and he was also active in several functions in agricultural cooperatives. Wegerer represented the Austrian People's Party between November 5, 1949 and November 10, 1954 in the state parliament.
