The Karl Weinberger company was a German wheelwright based in Munich .

The company was run by Karl Weinberger sen. († 1908) founded in 1865 as a wagon factory. In 1908, the sons Karl Weinberger jun. Hans Weinberger and Heinrich Weinberger founded the company. Since then, automobile bodies have also been manufactured, primarily on Protos chassis, which Weinberger owned for Bayern . In addition to cars, delivery and medical vehicles were also built. Many Protos taxis in Munich in the 1920s came from this company.

In 1927 Protos stopped manufacturing and from then on Weinberger only manufactured bodies for buses and commercial vehicles . After severe damage to the factory facilities in World War II , the company was liquidated in 1944.
