Karla Chadimová

Karla Chadimová (born June 13, 1943 in Prague ) is an American - Czech actress who could be seen more often in film and television productions in both German states in the 1960s and 1970s.

Career

Karla Chadimová was discovered by the director Zbyněk Brynych as a student for the film. From 1959 she starred in numerous Czech films, both historical and contemporary. In the GDR she was introduced to the public in 1964 with the DFF film Das Mädchen aus dem Dschungel , the following year she was seen with the part of the young Slovak Milena in Joachim Kunert's The Adventures of Werner Holt .

Then they became aware of them in the Federal Republic and gave Karla Chadimová a supporting role in the remake of the lively costume fabric Liselotte von der Pfalz by Kurt Hoffmann . Subsequently, she achieved her final breakthrough with the role of the music clown Nina and the fiancé of the trapeze artist Viggo Doria in the 18-part television series Salto Mortale . After the Prague Spring , Karla Chadimová found it difficult to make contact with the film business; in the GDR she was remembered as a partner of Manfred Krug , especially in 1974 with the truck comedy How to feed a donkey . In 1977 she left the ČSSR with her husband Jan Tříska and went to the USA, where she was seen several times in guest roles in TV series ( Airwolf , Agentin mit Herz , MacGyver ). After the political change, she appeared again in 1991 in the elementary school in a Czechoslovak film. It was also her last film role.
