The Karlsen Cliffs are cliffs northeast of Snow Hill Island in the Antarctic Weddell Sea . They form the northwest coast of the Spath Peninsula .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1995 after Anders Karlsen (1864 – unknown), chief machinist on the research vessel Antarctic in the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) under the direction of Otto Nordenskjöld .
