Karol Konstanty Majewski (* March 17, 1833 , † September 28, 1897 ) was a Polish politician, freedom fighter and member and leader of the national government in the January uprising of 1863/64 in the "Kingdom of Poland ", which at that time was part of the Russian Empire incorporated province of Weichselland .

As a student at the Medical and Surgical Academy in Warsaw , he was in 1860 the organizer of the Academic Committee (in Polish Komitet Akademicki ), an underground student organization he founded. In 1862 he became a member of the Village Management ( Dyrekcja Wiejska ), an organ coordinating the activities of the White Party (Stronnictwo białych) . From June 14 to September 17, 1863, Karol Majewski (at the age of thirty) directed the work of the Polish national government underground. When he was arrested, his counterparts were seriously incriminated by his statements. In 1866 he was deported to Siberia , from where he returned after 14 years in 1880. He died on September 28, 1897 at the age of 64.
