Karolina Łukasik (born January 7, 1982 in Warsaw ) is a Polish boxer and former kickboxer .

As a child, Łukasik initially devoted himself to swimming for two years and, from the age of nine, to rhythmic gymnastics . Due to her height, however, she had to give up the latter sport four years later. In 1999 she got to know kickboxing for the first time in her hometown, to which she stayed true when she started working as an amateur boxer at CWKS Legia Warsaw in 2001 .

The 1.84 meter tall Łukasik was multiple Polish champion in kickboxing and amateur boxing. As a kickboxer, she was runner-up in 1999 and world champion in 2003 and 2005. In 2001 she was able to win the European Championship.

As an amateur boxer, she won the bronze medal in middleweight (up to 70 kg) at the European Championships in 2003 and was European champion in the same weight class in 2005 . At the 2005 World Championships , however, she was eliminated in the quarterfinals after a loss to future world champion Olga Slawinskaja .

In February 2006 she signed a professional contract with the Hamburg boxing stable Spotlight Boxing . After being coached by her brother Bartłomiej at the beginning of her career, her new coach was Chuck Talhami. In the meantime he has been replaced by Conny Mittermaier.

In her sixth professional fight, she won the WIBF junior middleweight title (154 lbs) on January 13, 2007 after beating the hitherto undefeated American Jill Emery . She successfully defended this title against the German Heidi Hartmann on May 19, 2007. With her second title defense against the Argentinian Gabriela Zapata on September 7, 2007, she not only managed her first victory by knockout, but also the vacant GBU and WBA junior middleweight titles. On November 2, 2007, she was able to defend all three belts in a fight against Yahaira Hernandez from the Dominican Republic.

On March 29, 2008 Karolina Lukasik lost her only fight to date against Giselle Salandy . It was a total of six world champion belts. A rematch against her conqueror is out of the question, as Salandy died on January 4, 2009.

Your balance is: 11 fights, 10 wins, 2 knockout wins, one defeat.
