Connections to each other or to the vehicle are possible using self-tapping screws , rivets or suitable adhesives . It can be concealed or covered with foils in order to achieve a more valuable appearance. Body cardboard or cardboard for curved panels, side panels, kick panels, roof and door panels is used. Correspondingly shaped, technical equipment such as heat exchangers for car heating systems or electrical or electronic components can be clad or protected by one made of cardboard instead of sheet metal or plastic.

Body cardboard is recyclable.
