The Karpf Point is a headland at the Foyn coast of Graham lands north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is 5 km south of Mount Vartdal on the north bank of Mill Inlet .

The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey , which also made the name, mapped them using aerial photographs of the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) from 1947. It is named after Alois Theodor Karpf (1844–1906), librarian of the Imperial and Royal Royal Geographical Society of Vienna and together with Josef Chavanne and Franz Ritter von Le Monnier author of the compilation published in 1878, The Literature on the Polar Regions of the Earth .
