Karrar drone

Karrar ("striker") is the name for an unmanned Iranian aircraft which, according to its own statements, is suitable for "long distances" and for carrying bombs. The drone was unveiled by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on August 22, 2010, one day after the official opening of the Bushehr nuclear power plant . Presented as a symbol of the advancement of the Iranian defense industry, it is said to have a range of 1000 kilometers and a gun load of 230 kg. It is around four meters long and has a top speed of 900 km / h. Ahmadinejad described the jet as an "ambassador of death for the enemies of mankind". It serves exclusively as a deterrent and self-defense .

The military analysis platform Global Security assumes that the drone is a system that is technologically based on the South African Denel Aerospace Systems Kentron HTD -1 Skua high-speed drone. Elements of the Russian TU-143 “Reis” VR-3 reconnaissance drone were also the godfather.
