Karstadt brought in goods and real estate for around 50 million euros and Rewe brought in new capital in the same amount. "Karstadt Feinkost" initially employed around 3700 people, mainly provided by the KarstadtQuelle Group, who achieved an annual turnover of around 500 million euros.

Since the founding of the new company, the Karstadt grocery departments have been gradually converted to the “Perfetto” brand - after renovation and with a changed range .

The nationwide 43 Perfetto stores and 14 delicatessen departments in Karstadt department stores are not affected by the insolvency application filed by Arcandor AG on June 9, 2009 . Karstadt Feinkost GmbH & Co. KG has full financial scope and a corresponding liquidity.
