Karsten Rinas

Karsten Rinas (born December 14, 1969 in Opladen ) is a German linguist .

Life

Karsten Rinas studied German, philosophy and general linguistics at the University of Cologne . In 2006 he received his doctorate from the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg ; In 2008 he completed his habilitation at the Palacký University in Olomouc .

In 1997 Rinas went to the Silesian University of Opava (Troppau) (initially as a DAAD lecturer ), where he worked until 2006. Since 2006 he has been teaching at the Palacký University in Olomouc.

His specialist areas of expertise include: syntax, semantics, stylistics, contrastive linguistics, and the history of linguistics.
