Karsten Schütze

Karsten Schütze (born December 7, 1966 in Leipzig ) is a German local politician and is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany . He has been Lord Mayor of the major district town of Markkleeberg since 2013 .

Life

In 1985, Karsten Schütze graduated from the “Rudolf-Hildebrand-Schule” extended high school and then began studying to become a teacher at the Erfurt / Mühlhausen University of Education . In 1990 he graduated as a graduate teacher in biology and chemistry.

After his studies, Schütze worked as a teacher at the Alwin-Malz-Oberschule in Markkleeberg-Mitte. After only one year he switched to the “ Rudolf-Hildebrand-Schule” grammar school in Markkleeberg-West. Until he took office as Lord Mayor of Markkleeberg in 2013, he worked there as a teacher.

After the previous Lord Mayor of Markkleeberg Bernd Klose resigned from his position, Karsten Schütze was elected as his successor on September 22, 2013. Before that he was already a city councilor of Markkleeberg and a district councilor of the former district of Leipziger Land and the district of Leipzig .

Private

Karsten Schütze has been married since 1988 and the couple have a daughter together.
