The Kaskasapakte is one of the highest and most difficult to climb mountains in Sweden .
It is located northeast of Kebnekaise in the historic province of Lapland . At its foot is the Tarfala glacial lake with a meteorological-glaciological research station.
The normal route leads over the western flank, but is at risk of falling rocks. The north face with a height of 500 meters is to be assessed as a combined rock-ice tour.
