The Kassabowa Glacier ( Bulgarian ледник Касабова Lednik Kasabowa ) is a 6 km long and 3.5 km wide glacier on the Davis Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows first in a north- westerly direction , then in a southerly direction at Chanute Peak , before finally flowing west into the head end of Lanchester Bay .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named him in 2009 after the Bulgarian aviation pioneer Rajna Kassabowa (1897-1957), a participant in the Balkan Wars , who was involved in the first aerial combat on October 30, 1912.
