Castrated philosophers
Castrated Philosophers was a German independent band that released numerous music albums in the 1980s and 1990s .
Band history
The band was founded around 1983 by Matthias Arfmann and Katrin Achinger . In addition to these two, different musicians played both on the publications and at concerts in the course of the band's history, so that overall the impression of a band project rather than a fixed formation can arise. This impression is underlined by the wide range of music ( psychedelic rock , hip-hop , dub , electronic music ) of the band.
The last release dates from 1996. Since then, Matthias Arfmann has mainly been working as a producer of various music interpreters, but besides the solo albums by his ex-wife Katrin Achinger, there are also his own releases under the name Turtle Bay Country Club , for which he, for example, the Cologne political activist Onejiru was able to win.
