Katarzyna Jarosz-Rabiej

Katarzyna Jarosz-Rabiej (born September 4, 1946 in Zielona Góra ) is a Polish poet, writer, editor and cabaret artist.

Career

Katarzyna Jarosz-Rabiej worked, among other things, in the State Archives in Stary Kisielin near Zielona Góra and has since retired.

She made her debut in 1978 with the poem "Dla Przyjaciela" in the newspaper "Zastalowiec". She published her first own volume of poetry "Dedykacje" in 1996. Her texts have been translated into English, German, Russian, Ukrainian, Greek and French. She is co-organizer of the Uniwersytet Poezjii and sponsor of the international poetry competition "O srebrne pióro Papuszy", named after the poet " Papusza ".

In the 1990s she was a participant on the German-Polish poet steamer on the Oder. In 1997 she joined the Polish Writers' Union ZLP and is vice-president of the Stowarzyszenia Jeszcze Żywych Poetów in Zielona Góra. She also writes texts for the cabaret “Monte Verde” and performs there. She also plays in the theater "Czego Nigdy" directed by Roman Więckowski. Her texts have been published in numerous anthologies (in translations into German and Ukrainian).

Katarzyna Jarosz-Rabiej lives in Zielona Góra.
