Agnieszka Haupe-Kalka (born June 13, 1970 in Zielona Góra ) is a Polish fairy tale poet, poet , game designer and translator .

Life

She is the granddaughter of the resistance fighters of " AK Jemioły " and Auschwitz / Buchenwald survivors Maria Haupe ( code name "Black Lady") and Wacław Haupe (code name "Młody Szofer").

As a member of the literary association The Shell , she was one of the organizers of the Grochowice '93 festival on the tenth anniversary of the death of Edward Stachura . In 1994 she and her association received the Prize of the City President of Zielona Góra.

In 1996 and 1998 she was a participant in the German-Polish poet steamer , where she met the German songwriter Dieter Kalka and got married on September 12, 1998 in Frankfurt / Oder ("Poetenhochzeit").

Along with Jolanta Pytel , Katarzyna Jarosz-Rabiej and Władysław Klępka, she was a founding member of the “Association of Still Living Poets” in Zielona Góra in 1995, co-organizer of the “Uniwersytet Poezji” (1995–1998), participant of the German-Polish poetry festival “ Wortlust ” in Lublin 1997 and worked on the publication of the anthology " Lubliner Lift / Lubelska winda". She founded the project with Dieter Kalka: “Children invent fairy tales”, took part in the radio play festival in Rust ( Austria ) with the radio play “Mirror images of two languages”, which was later translated during the symposium in the Oświęcim meeting center (Auschwitz) . Prose and poetry in German have been published in Ostragehege No. 9 and on Portalpolen.

Agnieszka Haupe develops board and other games and took part in the game fair in Göttingen . From 1996 to 2005 she lived in Germany and Poland, studied German language and literature for one year at the University of Zielona Góra in 2005/06 and has lived in Ireland since 2006 . Her texts have been translated into English and German.
