Wladyslaw Klępka

Władysław Klępka (born January 26, 1942 in Krężnice Jarej near Lublin ) is a Polish poet , painter and translator from Czech and Georgian.

Life

Władysław Klępka studied cultural studies at the Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin and worked as an instructor for design in various cultural institutions until his retirement. He made his debut in 1985 with translations from Georgian into "Poezja". Klępka's poems are translated into German by Dieter Kalka and published in the Muschelhaufen 2001 and on Portalpolen. Władysław Klępka has been a member of the Polish Writers' Union (ZLP) since 2007, as well as the Stowarzyszenie Jeszcze Żywych Poetów / "Association of Still Living Poets" in Zielona Góra. He lives in Zielona Góra.
