Kateřina Pěnkavová (born April 3, 1987 ) is a Czech table tennis player . From 2002 to 2015 she took part in nine world championships and nine European championships .

Career

Kateřina Pěnkavová achieved considerable strength in table tennis at a young age under the guidance of her father Luboš Pěnkava. In 2002 she won the European Junior Championship with the team in Moscow, and bronze in the team competition the following year at the Junior World Championship. At the 2004 European Junior Championships in Budapest she won doubles with Carole Grundisch , in singles she reached the semi-finals, as well as in team competitions and mixed with Jakub Kleprlik.

At the European Championships in 2009 and 2013 , the Czech women's team came third. Although Kateřina Pěnkavová was part of the team, but was not used in the semi-finals. In doubles with Iveta Vacenovská , she made it to the quarter-finals. Otherwise she did not come close to medal ranks at the other World and European Championships.

She won the national Czech championships in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011 in doubles and in 2004, 2010 and 2011 in mixed. In 2014 she won the individual silver medal.

With the club TSV Schwabhausen she played from 2005 to 2009 in the 2nd Bundesliga in Germany. With the Linz AG Froschberg team, she won the Austrian national team title in 2010. In January 2011 Pěnkavová moved to SKST Mart Hodonín and won the Czech championship with the team
