TSV Schwabhausen

The TSV Schwabhausen 1929 eV - gymnastics and sports club Schwabhausen - is a sports club from Schwabhausen (Upper Bavaria) . According to its own information, it has around 1700 members (as of 2010).

The women's table tennis team plays in the women's Bundesliga in the 2019/20 season . In addition to table tennis, the club also includes football, gymnastics, handball, athletics, skiing, stick shooting, taekwondo, tennis, gymnastics and volleyball.

Club history

The club was founded in 1929 with the divisions football and gymnastics. Because of the Second World War , club life was suspended from 1939 to 1945. After the war, other departments were gradually added: gymnastics (1973), skiing (1973), table tennis (1975), athletics (1977), tennis (1977), handball ( 1981), Stockschützen (1983), volleyball and taekwondo.

Table tennis

In the table tennis department there are six women, six men and five youth teams active in the 2010/11 season.

The department was founded in 1975 and participated in the league game for the first time in the 1975/76 season. First they played in a school, later in a restaurant and since 1991 in a multi-purpose hall in Schwabhausen, today's Heinrich-Loder-Halle. Since then, coaches have been hired, first Herbert Baumgärtner (Munich), then from 1993 to 2003 Milan Rysavy (Prague) and since then Alexander Yahmed (from 2003).

In 1999 the women's team was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga South and ended up in midfield with fifth place. In 2010 the players Ting Yang, Sabine Winter , Na Yin, Olga Nemes and Agnes Kokai achieved promotion to the 1st Bundesliga. At the end of the 2011/2012 season the team was withdrawn to the 2nd Bundesliga, Sabine Winter then left the club for SV DJK Kolbermoor . In 2014 the team returned to the 1st Bundesliga, and in 2016 it voluntarily relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga. In 2019 Sabine Winter returned from Kolbermoor and the women's team decided to move up to the first division again.

The 1st men's team will compete in the Regionalliga Süd (2019).

The table tennis department of the club was awarded the Green Ribbon in 2006 because of its exemplary work with young talent .
