Sabine Winter (* 27. September 1992 in Bad Soden am Taunus ) is a German table tennis - national player . In 2010, 2013, 2015 and 2018 she won the German and 2013 and 2016 the European championship in doubles.
youth
Winter began playing table tennis at the TSV Oberalting club. The right-hander came to TSV Schwabhausen via SC Wörthsee in 2004 . In the school and youth sector she achieved numerous national and international successes: In 2005, 2006 and 2008 she won the ranking tournaments for school girls and girls. In 2007 she became German master of mixed pupils and European master of doubles with Barbora Balážová (Slovakia). In the following year she won the title at the German student championship in doubles with Kathrin Mühlbach . In 2010 she won the European girls ranking tournament Europe Youth Top 10 .

Adults
Winter played with the women of TSV Schwabhausen in the 2nd Bundesliga and played a key role in their promotion to the 1st Bundesliga in 2010 . At the national German championship in Trier in 2010, she became German champion in doubles together with Kathrin Mühlbach .
On March 2, 2010, she played an international match for the first time. In the game against the Netherlands, she lost to Lie Jie 3-0. In May of the same year she was nominated for the world championship . When the regular Elke Schall injured herself, Winter was used in the team. With a victory she contributed to winning the bronze medal. Thus, in 2010, she managed to win a World Cup medal in the youth and adult sector within one year. No German active player had succeeded in this before. In 2010 she moved into the top 100 in the world rankings for the first time in June and took part in the European Championship in September , where she and the team took 7th place.
Sabine Winter moved to Düsseldorf in order to develop further at the German table tennis center there. In July 2011 she signed up for two years in the German Armed Forces as a sports soldier after participating in her first individual World Cup in May . For the 2012/13 season she moved to SV DJK Kolbermoor . In 2012 she won the German Open in doubles with Petrissa Solja and qualified for the U-21 competition of the Grand Finals, where she was eliminated in the preliminary round. In doubles with Solja, she also won the German championship in 2013. With her she also became European champion in the same year . In the final, they defeated another German duo with Zhenqi Barthel / Shan Xiaona with 4: 2. In the German title fights in 2014, they lost to Shan Xiaona / Kristin Silbereisen in the final .
At the 2014 European Championship , Winter won the title with the German team, but was only used in the preliminary round against Turkey. In 2015 she reached a place in the top 50 of the world rankings for the first time, was again European champion with the team and won the German championships again in doubles with Solja. In 2016 she became European double champion for the second time , this time together with Kristin Silbereisen . In a German final they won 4: 3 against Shan Xiaona / Petrissa Solja. With her first participation in the Europe Top 16 , in which she reached sixth place, Winter also qualified for the World Cup . There she reached the main round and beat Yang Ha-eun after 3-0 down with 4: 3, whereby she reached the quarter-finals, which were lost to Feng Tianwei . In 2017 she reached third place in the Europe Top 16 and in April a new record with world rankings 36. She was runner-up in Europe with the German team , but was eliminated from the World Cup without a win. Together with Huong Do Thi , she became German double champion for the fourth time in 2018.
In 2019 she won the cup with Kolbermoor, but lost to the ttc berlin eastside in the final of the German championship . After this season she returned to TSV Schwabhausen .
