Kristin Lang (* March 14, 1985 in Koblenz as Kristin Silbereisen ) is a German table tennis player and sports soldier . She was European champion in doubles in 2016 and 2018 and with the team in 2013 as well as German champion in singles in 2010, 2016 and 2017.
Career
Kristin Lang started playing table tennis when she was seven. First she played for the DJK Ochtendung . About the SV Winterwerb (until 2002), the TuS Bad Driburg (2002/03), the Homberger TS (from 2003), the TV Busenbach (from 2005) she came in 2010 for FSV Kroppach , for them in the table tennis league play . Since Kroppach withdrew his team from the Bundesliga at the end of the 2012/13 season, they moved to Ttc berlin eastside . In 2015 she joined the SV DJK Kolbermoor .
So far (2019) she has participated in fourteen world and ten European championships for adults. At the end of 2003 she won an ITTF Pro Tour tournament against Niu Jianfeng from China , who was third in the world rankings at the time . On October 12, 2004, she played her first international match: In the European Championship qualification against Italy, she lost 3-1 to Wenling Tan Monfardini . With the women's national team, she won the gold medal at the 2013 European Championships in Schwechat . Following the 2010 World Cup , she played in the 1st division of China at the Heilongjiang club.
In 2011 and 2019 she was named Player of the Year 2010 and 2018 respectively. In 2012, Silbereisen took part in the Summer Olympics in London. Then she reduced her sporting activities in favor of training as a physiotherapist.
Kristin Lang won the title with the German team at the 2013 European Championships in Schwechat . In the singles she was eliminated in the round of 16. In 2016 she won gold in doubles at the European Championships in Budapest alongside Sabine Winter . In 2018 she defended the title with Nina Mittelham .

Between 2000 and 2019 Kristin Lang won a total of 26 medals at German championships, eight of them gold (three in singles, four in doubles and one in mixed). So she is the record holder for women so far (2019).

Private
Kristin's twin brother Daniel achieved regional league strengths (table tennis), as did her sister Cornelia, three years older than her, with whom she played at SV Winterwerb . Kristin Silbereisen has been married to Jochen Lang, a former player in the table tennis Bundesliga, since July 2017 and took his last name. She has a daughter with him (* January 2018).
